
DAVID BRAY - LEAD GUITAR/VOCALS
Born into a musical family in 1951, (Mama played piano and French horn and Papa was a 'rolling stone' (not really) actually a guitar player..David began his musical career at the age of 5 playing the accordian but soon switched to piano and that was fine, until ,at the age of ten, his dad came home with a LES PAUL GIBSON GUITAR and that was it! David was Hooked! The guitar was actually for his dad but David would not relent and he eventually ended up with the guitar.At the age of thirteen David began studying guitar with Larry Curtis of (THE CRUSADERS) fame, who happened to live in the area..which also exposed David to the Memphis Stax sound.After completing High School David had the opportunity to study with Jazz great BARNEY KESSEL..During the 1970's David honed his skills in a variety of rock bands opening for such acts as 'WAR',TOMMY BOYCE,BACHMAN,TURNER OVERDRIVE AND GUESS WHO.In the late 1980's David became a charter member of the 'NEW BLUES BROTHERS' and was with the band for 7 years before taking a 12 year hiatus but he could not stay away and he is back to let you know that he can 'really shake'em down.David's hobbies include untethered space walking
